What is Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)?
Rhinoplasty for San Antonio Patients by Dr. Jeneby Plastic Surgery
One of the most common procedures in plastic surgery today is rhinoplasty. San Antonio men and women can reshape, reduce, or augment the size of their nose at The Plastic & Cosmetic Center of South Texas. We have performed many successful surgeries at our offices, helping many feel more comfortable and more confident in their appearance. We are now ready to help educate you about this procedure to see if it could help you reach your aesthetic goals.
There are many reasons to consider a nose job. Some want to correct an abnormality, such as a hump or narrow nostrils, and others are looking to correct a birth defect or problems that affect air flow, making breathing difficult. It can also restore your appearance after facial injury. We work with our patients to understand their needs and aesthetic goals. With a personalized surgical plan, we can help you achieve the look you are after.
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that manipulates the structures of the nose to create a more appealing size and shape. This is achieved by adding or removing cartilage. Though the approach may change depending on the patient’s specific circumstances, the surgeon will make a small incision along the bottom of the nose in order to gently lift the skin and access the nasal structures. By adding or removing cartilage, the surgeon can correct asymmetry and aberrations or create a more appealing shape. Once the manipulations are complete, your surgeon will close the incisions and stabilize the structure. Initial recovery takes about two weeks. You will see your final results in six to twelve months.
