Mother’s Day is just around the corner. It’s a time to celebrate our moms or those who may have been our stand-in moms throughout our lives. Mothers make great sacrifices for their babies – from the time they are born through the rest of their lives. They sacrifice their time, efforts, energy and even the normalcy of their bodies. That’s where mommy makeovers come in to play. I’ve seen mother after mother come in my office saying that they want their bodies back that they had prior to their pregnancies. So for those of you who may be considering it, here is what a typical Mommy Makeover entails:
Tummy Tuck: The first thing you’re ready to do after having your baby (or however many you decide to have) is work the weight off. Many times, you can work it off, but the result of that becomes pesky, hanging skin. A tummy tuck will assist in getting rid of the extra skin and firming up your stomach area.
Liposuction: Liposuction will help get rid of the stretch marks that so often come with pregnancy. After poking, prodding, pushing and stretching of your skin from one or many babies, liposuction can help delete what we fondly refer to as the muffintop that sticks around even after you work off the post-pregnancy weight.
Breast Lift: They droop and sag after the baby has arrived. While we know they serve an important purpose in nurturing and providing nutrients for your baby, we know there are many who desire to have back the pre-baby breasts. The breast lift will raise your breasts to restore their once-more-perky look. With or without augmentation, the breast lift is an option to raise them up. Alternative or additional options include breast augmentation or adjustable breast augmentation – both which can enhance the size of your breasts, in correlation with the boosting them with a breast lift.
