Warning: Be careful of other Non-Plastic Surgeons performing breast augmentations/lipo/tummy tuck . The Residency Review Committee (the committee that oversees residencies) has provided core competencies for residencies. Plastic Surgeons are recognized experts by their peers. They also have peer reviewed hospital privileges to perform these procedures safely. The American Board of Plastic Surgery requires competency in Breast/lipo/tummytuck (et. al) procedures of its diplomats. These procedures done "awake" must be researched by you --more often than not , it is done by a non-plastic surgeon

Plastic Surgeon vs Cosmetic Surgeon
There are different types of cosmetic surgeons. Some cosmetic surgeons are not even "surgery" trained. Real surgeons are trained by real residencies. It is important to realize that some spas in the area have medical directors that are not board certified plastic surgeons. Claiming that they are is fraud. Cosmetic surgeons can't operate at their local hospitals for the procedure they are performing on you. Ask them how they learned how to perform liposuction, breast augmentation or any procedure! They should be trained by an appropriate residency training body that re-certifies them every ten years and is peer reviewed, as plastic Surgeons are.
People who have cosmetic spas/medical spas may not have these qualifications. Please ask them if they have privileges to do these procedures at their local hospitals which are reviewed by fellow doctors. Just because they have a surgery suite in their office does not make them peer reviewed at a local hospital.
Ask them those questions!
If they do not have privileges at local hospitals, which are MD peer reviewed, then they can't be "certified" to do your procedure. Do not get confused or skimp on true quality. It's your body we are talking about. Dr. Jeneby is highly trained to safely perform multiple procedures on all parts of the body from simple to complex. Dr. Jeneby performs surgeries that last as long as nine hours.
Dr. Jeneby is a National Trainer for SmartXide and Smart Lipo in Southern Texas, specifically San Antonio & Austin. He was one of the first Plastic Surgeons to perform Smart Lipo, SmartXide and now "Tickle Lipo". He has been performing these procedures longer than anyone else in South Texas (Eclipse Medical confirmed statistics).
The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery is not the true board of The American Board of Medical Specialties. PLASTIC SURGERY is recognized by ABMS. Also, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons is not recognized board by The American Board of Medical Specialties. Be careful when you visit these practitioners who call themselves "surgeons". Some are not trained by an appropriate residency and therefore are making false claims. These "cosmetic doctors" have not been through the comprehensive residency Dr Jeneby has completed (six years General surgery and Plastic Surgery, two years after the six to become a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Eight years total, in order to provide you with the safest, and most skilled hands.
